A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Caldes de Malavella, Girona, in connection with an alleged fraud involving fake tickets for a Bad Bunny concert in Spain. Police say the case began after complaints were filed in Girona city and the Gironès area.
The Mossos d’Esquadra opened the investigation on 25 May, after the Girona police station received the first reports. According to police, the victims contacted the suspect through a messaging service and paid for tickets they expected to receive 48 hours before the concert.
Police say the buyers trusted the seller because they had been introduced through a mutual friend. But when the concert date approached and they tried to activate the tickets, they found the contact had disappeared and the tickets did not exist.
So far, the Mossos d’Esquadra have recorded complaints from eight people, with losses totalling at least €2,820. The suspect had no prior police record, according to the information released by police.
The arrest took place on 1 June. The investigation remains open, and police say other stations across Catalonia have also received complaints against the same person for similar ticket fraud using the same method.
Police advise buying tickets only through official channels and accredited platforms. They also warn against suspicious links, unverified contacts and offers priced well below normal levels. For more local reporting, see our news coverage.
