Barcelona will host numerous weekend markets, fairs, and festivals throughout May 2026, offering a wide array of products and activities for residents and visitors. Events range from vintage and artisan markets to gastronomic celebrations and local produce sales, according to an updated agenda from betevé.
One of the main attractions is the Fira del Disc at Estació del Nord, running from 1 to 3 May. This event, with a general admission of €6, will feature 150 stalls selling vinyl records, CDs, posters, music merchandise, and other music-related items. The Palo Market Fest at Pellaires, 30, will also take place on 2 and 3 May, offering high-quality design products, gastronomy, and live music in two sessions: 12pm to 5pm and 5:30pm to 10pm.
Gastronomy and Artisan Delights
The Poble Espanyol will host a gastronomic event from 1 to 3 May, dedicated to selecting Barcelona's best artisan croissant. This festival will run from 11am to 10pm daily and include workshops led by renowned chefs, live music, DJ sessions, competitions, prize draws, and a children's play area. It promises a full day of food and entertainment.
For those seeking local and zero-kilometre produce, the Mercat de la Terra at Parc de les Tres Xemeneies operates every Saturday from 9am to 1:30pm. Organised by the Slow Food Barcelona movement, this market focuses on fresh, local products. Additionally, a map shows various farmers' markets across the city, many open on Saturdays and Sundays.
On 9 May, the esplanade of the Vallvidrera-Vázquez Montalbán Civic Centre will host an agricultural fair. This event will feature agro-food products, seedlings, seeds, and round tables, alongside sales of products from Collserola. Visitors can take the Vallvidrera funicular to discover the Collserola Agricultural Fair.

The Plaça Reial hosts a coin and stamp market every Sunday morning, organised by the Associació Filatèlica Plaça Reial, which has been active for over a century. Since 2015, when the stalls were reorganised, other collector's items like cava caps, pins, coasters, and sugar sachets can also be found.
The historic Mercat dels Encants at Carrer de Los Castillejos, 158, one of Europe's oldest markets, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9am to 8pm. It offers antiques, collector's items, textiles, fashion, and toys, among other goods.
Finally, the Plaça del Pi hosts a fair of traditional Catalan products on the last Saturday and Sunday of each month, from 10am to 10pm.
