Judokas from the Bages and Moianès region achieved significant success at the Vila d'Andorra 2026 tournament this past weekend, securing multiple podium finishes. The Centre de Tecnificació de Judo del Bages i Moianès (CTJBM) saw its athletes excel in various categories, with a notable performance in the senior heavyweight division.
In the senior +90 kg category, Lucas de Nardo and Jordi Pérez de Mendiguren, both from Esport7, contested an all-Bages final. De Nardo emerged as champion, with Pérez de Mendiguren taking second place, according to Nació Digital.
Youth Categories Bring Further Success
The cadet category also saw strong results. Núria Corcuera from Club Judo Moià secured first place in the -57 kg division, showing her current good form. Maica Berruezo (Esport7) finished fifth, just missing a podium spot. Bruno Pereira and Víctor Bordallo also competed in the cadet category, gaining valuable experience.
Children's judokas added four more podiums to the CTJBM's tally. Joan Montes (Esport7) won a silver medal in the -42 kg category. Bronze medals went to Oriol Corcuera (Club Judo Moià), Òscar Artero (Esport7), and Laia Coma (Club Judo Moià) in their respective weight classes.
Beyond the medal winners, Suri Gundin, Damià Bujor, Oriol López, Eric Fernández, and Yuri Bordallo also participated, using the competition to continue their athletic development. The tournament provided an important platform for these judokas to test their skills and progress.
