Barcelona City Council says it has helped more than 47,000 people in the city through the extraordinary regularisation process. The figure is up by 20,000 in just 11 days, according to municipal data.

The council says it has issued 29,800 vulnerability certificates, given legal advice to 2,000 people, processed 175,440 proof of residence documents, and issued 77,000 registration certificates.

At Pavilion 2 of Fira de Barcelona in Montjuïc, public service hours will be reduced from Tuesday, 26 May, with the centre open from 8am to 8.30pm. The venue had previously distributed nearly 18,000 tickets to manage a large share of the procedures there.

The pavilion has offered an integrated support system for regularisation, and more than 4,000 people have already used it. About half of them received legal advice at the site. From next week, procedures will also continue at the Miquel Bleach centre.

The Sant Miquel and Monumental citizen service offices will no longer handle regularisation appointments. Those offices saw long queues and tense moments in late April, according to reports. For more Catalonia-wide civic updates, see our news coverage.
