Barcelona, the Catalan capital, has extended submission deadlines for several public contracts linked to municipal services and infrastructure. The changes, published through the Barcelona Provincial Council Documents (CIDO), affect bodies including Barcelona de Serveis Municipals, SA (BSM) and Barcelona d'Infraestructures Municipals, SA (BIMSA).
One BSM contract, originally due on 29 May 2026, now has a new deadline of 5 June 2026 at 12:00h. Another BSM contract, previously set for 4 June 2026, is now due on 10 June 2026 at 12:00h. These extensions give bidders more time to prepare their proposals.
BIMSA has also seen a deadline change. A contract that was due to close on 27 May 2026 is now extended to 3 June 2026 at 13:00h. The update affects procurement tied to urban development and city services.
Other Barcelona municipal bodies are also listed in the CIDO notice, including the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and the Institut Municipal de Parcs i Jardins. The document does not give the revised dates for those contracts, but it shows the wider scope of the administrative changes.
Outside Barcelona, the Ajuntament de Cornellà de Llobregat has also revised several deadlines. A contract with Centre Especial de Treball, SA (TECSALSA), originally due on 22 May 2026, is now set for 26 May 2026 at 14:00h. Further Cornellà deadlines have moved from 8 June 2026 to 18 June 2026 at 14:00h, and from 1 June 2026 to 4 June 2026 at 15:00h.
