Barcelona travellers should expect bus changes on Sunday, 31 May, as Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) says 41 bus lines will be diverted or limited for the Festa de la Bici and Bicicletada Barcelona 2026.

TMB advises passengers to use the metro where possible, especially for journeys in central Barcelona during the morning and midday. The operator says it will adjust services to keep buses running as regularly as possible.

The main Bicicletada starts at 10am and is due to finish its circuit at 11.45am. Cyclists will set off from Carrer Aragó and Passeig de Sant Joan, then pass through several central streets and squares before returning to Passeig de Lluís Companys.

The route includes Carrer Aragó, Carrer Tarragona, Carrer Vilamarí, Plaça d’Espanya, Avinguda Paral·lel, Carrer Floridablanca, Ronda de Sant Antoni, Plaça Universitat, Carrer Pelai, Plaça de Catalunya, Carrer Fontanella, Plaça d’Urquinaona, Carrer Trafalgar, Passeig de Lluís Companys, Carrer Comerç, Passeig de Picasso, Passeig de Pujades, Carrer de Marina, Avinguda Icària, Carrer Llull, Carrer Àlaba, Carrer Pujades, Carrer Marina, Carrer Almogàvers, Carrer Roger de Flor and Avinguda Vilanova.

Passeig de Lluís Companys will also host Festa de la Bici activities until 2.30pm. This year’s edition includes the Tour de France Exhibition, marking the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in Barcelona.

The affected lines are 6, 7, 13, 19, 22, 24, 39, 46, 54, 55, 59, 63, 65, 67, 109, 115, 120, 136, 141, 150, D20, D40, D50, H12, H14, H16, V5, V7, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19, V21, V23, V27, X2, X3, and the Red and Blue routes of the Barcelona Bus Turístic.
