The Bages Comarcal Council in Central Catalonia has completed 75.5% of its planned actions for the 2023-2027 term, according to a review of its first three years in office. The council, located in the Bages region, stated its role as a "territorial leadership engine," providing public services, fostering municipal cooperation, and promoting the region.

The governing coalition, made up of ERC and Junts, said these three years have helped "reinforce the voice of Bages, expand services, and drive strategic projects for all municipalities." This progress reflects the council's commitment to its Mandate Action Plan.

Driving Regional Development

Officials from the Bages Comarcal Council emphasised the institution's importance in coordinating efforts across the region's towns. They pointed to the expansion of public services as a key achievement, directly benefiting residents throughout the Bages area. The council also works to ensure that smaller municipalities have access to resources and support for their own local initiatives.

Looking ahead, the council aims to finalise the remaining objectives of its Mandate Action Plan by the end of the 2023-2027 term. Future efforts will focus on consolidating the strategic projects already underway and exploring new opportunities for regional growth and collaboration.
