Sant Boi de Llobregat is now seeing the latest changes to the B-25 motorway, after Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility opened 11.9 kilometres of new sections on Thursday. The work is part of a wider project in Baix Llobregat to extend the road between the C-32 and the A-2.

The overall project has a budget of €65.8 million. The ministry had already opened 1.95 kilometres at the end of April, and this latest phase adds new links between the B-25 and the C-31C, B-20 and C-32 in Sant Boi de Llobregat.

It also includes a new access roundabout and improved connection ramps to the C32-B in El Prat de Llobregat, according to the ministry statement. The changes are intended to improve traffic flow and access in the area.

For drivers, the new layout changes how traffic moves through the corridor. Motorists coming from Barcelona on the B-20 can now switch to the B-25, reach the elliptical roundabout, and continue to Sant Boi Centre or Sant Boi Parellada.

Another route from the B-20 is via the C-31-C, which leads to the Viena roundabout or the Sant Boi Commercial Centre area. Readers following transport updates in Catalonia can also keep an eye on our news coverage for more local developments.
