Arbúcies, in Girona province, has marked its 80th Flower Carpet Festival, with streets filled with floral displays made from natural flowers. Thousands of people attended the event in the town.

The festival is officially recognised as a Traditional Festival of National Interest. Visitors and residents walked through the decorated streets and viewed the intricate flower carpets on display.

Alongside the carpets, the programme included concerts, workshops and artisan fairs. These activities added to the festival atmosphere and gave attendees more to see and do during the celebration.

The Flower Carpet Festival is a long-running tradition in Arbúcies and remains one of the most significant cultural events in the Selva region. For more Catalonia-wide local news, see our news coverage.
