Amposta Town Hall has formalised 35 employment contracts with companies in different economic sectors through the Integral Plus programme.

For unemployed residents, the contracts provide work experience and training in a real workplace. The council said the scheme is also intended to help local businesses recruit staff and support Amposta's economic and social development.

“The results achieved so far with programmes of this kind show that cooperation between the council, businesses and participants is key to creating new employment opportunities and contributing to economic and social growth,” Mayor Adam Tomàs said.

Recruitment support and training for participants

The Integral Plus programme provides personalised support to both participants and employers throughout the recruitment process. According to the council, this support includes:

  • pre-selection of candidates for participating companies;
  • management of recruitment grants; and
  • follow-up during each participant's integration into the workplace.

Participants receive job-related training lasting between 20 and 120 hours. The training covers professional and personal skills, including conflict-resolution training intended to support workplace coexistence and teamworking.

Funding under the 2025 Integral Plus rules

The scheme is funded by the Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC), Catalonia's public employment service, and the Spanish Public Employment Service within the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.

It operates under Order EMT/171/2025 of 8 October, which regulates the Integral Plus programme.
