Figueres is at the centre of a busy week of events in Alt Empordà, with food, culture and community activities running from 8 to 14 June across the region.

The main draw in Figueres is the Ruta del Tast Surrealista, which runs until 14 June. Twenty establishments are offering surrealist-inspired tapas with a glass of DO Empordà wine for €4. Six restaurants are also serving special menus for €35, according to L'Empordà.

The city will also host the V Fira Degustació de la Cervesa Artesana de l'Alt Empordà on 12 and 13 June on La Rambla. The fair will include live music from Els Perduts de Sant Esteve de les Roures and Bananna Beach Crew 2026 on Friday, then PD Pawer, Tramuntakada, Sweet Chilli Band and Poéticamente Incorrectos on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the region, Fortià will host a dance with Maria Muñoz at the Centre Agrícola i Social on Monday, 8 June, at 6pm. In Llançà, the XXXI Mostra Floral-Festivitat del Corpus will take place at the port chapel from 5pm to 7pm the same day.

Figueres also has a parenting workshop on Tuesday, 9 June, at the Espai Cívic Teatre Bon Pastor. The session, titled Deu maneres de dir-te que t'estimo, is aimed at parents of children aged 0 to 3 and starts at 4pm. On Wednesday, 10 June, the Cercle Sport Figuerenc will host a talk on Gaudí-Pujols-Dalí: Tertúlia sobre la tríada genial at 7pm, led by dramatist and historian Gerard Bidegain i Figuerola and philosopher Alba Padrós.

On Thursday, 11 June, the Auditori Caputxins in Figueres will stage the Fòrum Benestar i Empresa from 9am to 2.45pm. The forum is designed to support business alliances and wellbeing projects, with participation expected from the University of Girona, Fundació Salut Empordà, Cambra de Comerç de Girona and Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona.
