Reus municipal company REDESSA has appointed Alkimista Reus SL, the company linked to chef Pol Hemaia, to manage the Gaudí Centre restaurant in the city centre.

The decision follows a public tender launched this spring to reactivate the dining space at the cultural venue on Plaça del Mercadal. It ends several months of uncertainty over the restaurant’s future.

The Gaudí Centre is one of Reus’s main cultural attractions, with exhibits focused on the life and work of Antoni Gaudí. The restaurant sits on the fourth floor of the building and offers views over the city centre.

REDESSA said the tender was intended to secure a quality food offer for the centre and support the visitor experience. The appointment of Alkimista Reus SL is expected to bring the restaurant back into regular use.

The move also adds a new hospitality element to the Gaudí Centre’s wider cultural offer in Reus. For more local coverage, see our news page.
