Girona is the setting for the latest presentation by Begur writer and anthropologist Adrià Pujol, who has reissued Escafarlata d'Empordà and Picadura de Barcelona as a single volume. According to Diari de Girona, the new edition is titled Escafarlata/Picadura. Un díptic.
The book brings the two works together more than ten years after their first publication. Pujol originally conceived them as a diptych, and this edition restores that format.
The presentation will take place on Monday at the Carles Rahola Library in Girona. Pujol will be joined by Carles Xuriguera at the event.
Editorial Empúries is publishing the reissue. The combined volume offers readers a single frame for Pujol's writing on Empordà and Barcelona, two places that have shaped the original books.
