Residents Aged 16–29 Invited to Co-Design Youth Strategy

The Ajuntament de la Seu d'Urgell is inviting young people to co-create the next Pla Local d'Adolescència i Joventut 2027–2031, a four-year strategy replacing the current plan that runs until 2026. A participatory session will take place on Tuesday 13 October at 19:15 at the Centre Cívic l’Escorxador, aimed at residents aged 16 to 29 and youth organisations. Participants are encouraged to share concerns and proposals on key issues affecting young people in the town, including housing and emancipation, mental health and wellbeing, civic participation and associations, and the use of municipal youth facilities.

Input Sought on Housing, Mental Health and Facilities

Under the slogans "Tens alguna cosa a dir?" (Do you have something to say?) and "La teva veu compta!" (Your voice counts!), the session aims to gather direct input from young people. The council’s Youth Department, working with cooperative Doble Via and the Oficina Jove de l'Alt Urgell, has already conducted field research in schools and youth centres. Now, it seeks broader engagement to ensure policies reflect real needs. Discussion points include what young people feel is missing in La Seu, their main concerns, and specific improvements they would like to see.

  • Housing and emancipation: support for independent living
  • Mental health and emotional support services
  • Civic participation and strengthening youth associations
  • Access to and quality of youth facilities
We want policies shaped by a broad, diverse and directly expressed vision from young people in La Seu.

How to Take Part

To attend, participants must confirm their presence by emailing [email protected]. The event forms part of an ongoing diagnostic process that combines data analysis, in-depth interviews, and participatory workshops. The new youth plan will guide municipal investment and programming for young people over the next four years. Input from this session will directly inform final policy priorities before official adoption.
