In Olot, Girona, a worker was seriously injured on Friday morning after falling about eight metres at a composting plant. Firefighters rescued the person and emergency services took them to Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona.
The incident happened at around 10.30am. Two fire crews from the Generalitat Fire Brigade went to the site and used an aerial ladder to reach the worker, who was on the facility’s roof.
After the rescue, the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques, or Medical Emergency System, gave immediate care before the transfer to hospital for further treatment.
