In Vilafant, in Alt Empordà, Mossos d'Esquadra officers from the Figueres police station arrested two people on Monday 25 May in connection with a drug trafficking offence.
The arrests came after an investigation that led officers to a home in the municipality, where they dismantled a cannabis plantation. Police found 210 cannabis plants at different stages of growth inside the property.
Officers also seized 4.5 kilograms of dried cannabis buds, which were prepared for distribution. According to officials, the plantation had an estimated street value of €8,240.
Both suspects had previous police records for similar offences. They were taken to police facilities and later brought before a judge.
