Vila-seca council is finishing a provisional car park in La Pineda, Tarragona, to replace 400 green zone parking spaces lost because of construction work. The new site is on municipal land between Amadeu Vives and Plácido Domingo streets.
The former car park, opposite La Pineda beach, was closed to make way for work on the Cal·lípolis Experiential Centre. The council moved the parking capacity to the nearby plot to keep spaces available in the area.
Operatives have spent around a month and a half adapting the land, which had previously been used for unregulated parking. It will now operate as a paid parking area, according to local officials.
