Vic, in central Catalonia, was the scene of two arrests in May after Mossos d'Esquadra officers found cocaine packages on separate occasions, according to police.

The first arrest came on Friday 15 May, when a 41-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was seen by a patrol on Doctor Salarich street in the Estadi neighbourhood. Police said he threw a package into a car, and officers later recovered it and found 17 small packages of cocaine inside.

On Wednesday 27 May, 12 days later, the same man was spotted again by another police car in the same area. Officers said he tried to hide behind a pillar and then attempted to conceal 125 packages of cocaine in a postbox, but was arrested again by the Mossos d'Esquadra.

In total, police said they recovered 142 packages of cocaine across the two incidents. The case remains in the judicial process, and authorities have not released further details on the charges.
