Valls City Council has received €75,000 in funding from the Diputació de Tarragona's ImpulsDipta Plan for 2024, supporting a range of initiatives across culture, public health, and general services.

The funding, confirmed on 16 May 2025, will allow the council to carry out specific projects aimed at improving local infrastructure and community programmes, according to Valls officials.

Of the total amount, €17,742 is allocated to the Culture sector. This will finance the 19th Valls Heritage Photography Competition and the adaptation of the Enxaneta 360 application for the Casteller Museum of Catalonia. It also covers access control systems for the Carles Cardó Library and the Casa de la Festa.

Enhancing Public Health and Infrastructure

Public Health initiatives will receive €32,258. These funds are designated for repairing potholes and municipal sewage system problems. They will also support pest control measures, including termite control, deratisation, and disinfection of public spaces.

An additional €25,000 has been assigned to general current expenditure, providing flexible support for the city's operational needs. This broad allocation helps cover various day-to-day costs not tied to specific projects.

The ImpulsDipta Plan aims to provide financial assistance to municipalities within the Tarragona province, helping them to address local priorities and improve the quality of life for residents. Valls' successful application highlights the ongoing collaboration between local councils and provincial authorities to secure necessary resources for community development.
