Manhunt Underway After Gunfight

Initial information indicates the shooter is a man of Roma ethnicity linked to the criminal group under investigation. He remains at large and has not yet been arrested. The Civil Guard officers returned fire with their service weapons during the exchange.

The Catalan police force, Mossos d'Esquadra, has taken charge of the investigation through its Division of Criminal Investigation (DIC), working in coordination with the Civil Guard. The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests reported so far.

"There is an incident in progress, but we cannot provide further details at this time," a spokesperson for the Mossos confirmed.

Local police from Terrassa were the first to respond at the scene. Authorities are reconstructing the sequence of events leading to the shootout and working to identify all those involved. The pursuit and shooting have raised concerns in the Can Parellada area, a residential district in the west of Terrassa.
