Barcelona’s Trambesòs service will be suspended this summer for essential improvement works, according to the Ajuntament de Barcelona. The disruption affects lines T4, T5 and T6, with the city’s tram network set to pause on part of its route.

The works are scheduled to run from 26 June to 31 August. During that period, the tram will not operate between Glòries and Estació de Sant Adrià, a stretch that links Barcelona with Sant Adrià de Besòs.

Passengers affected by the closure will have a replacement bus service. The bus will follow the tram route, helping maintain connections for regular users and visitors who rely on the service.

For the latest service information, passengers should check the official transport channels from the Tram operator and the Ajuntament de Barcelona. You can also follow our news coverage for more updates across Catalonia.

The improvement works are intended to improve reliability and efficiency across the Trambesòs network. Officials said the project is aimed at meeting maintenance needs and introducing new technologies, with the longer-term goal of reducing interruptions and improving day-to-day performance.
