The Diputació de Tarragona's Music School and Conservatory in Tortosa is launching its Spring Concert Series, a cultural programme running from 16 April to 18 June. Performances will take place at either the Conservatory's Sala Pedrell or the Sala d'actes del Patronat Obrer de Tortosa, according to the Diputació de Tarragona.
The series starts on Thursday, 16 April, at 7.30pm at the Conservatory with "Femení i singulars" (Feminine and Singular). This event combines stories and music, focusing on four women who challenged their times. Victòria Palma Balmany, a musicologist and broadcaster from Catalunya Música, will participate alongside the centre's teaching staff.
Upcoming Performances
The programme continues at the Patronat Obrer on Friday, 24 April, at 7pm, with a concert by ESMUC pianists Louanna Cleries Añó and Rafael Fuertes Fernández. On Friday, 22 May, at 7pm, the VandaBrass group will perform, featuring trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba.
The series will conclude at the Conservatory's Sala Pedrell on Thursday, 18 June, at 6pm, with the International Music Day Concert, performed by the centre's teaching staff.
Through this series, the Music School and Conservatory in Tortosa shows its commitment to spreading musical culture and opening the centre to the public. It brings diverse artistic proposals and encourages direct contact between students, teachers, and the audience.
