Cecot, a prominent business association, will host its inaugural Connect Fair: Talent and Business in Terrassa, Catalonia, on 28 April 2026, offering attendees more than 500 job vacancies. The event, held at Cecot's headquarters, aims to facilitate direct contact between companies seeking new employees and individuals looking for work. This includes professionals wanting to reorient their careers, young people entering the job market, and those simply searching for new opportunities, according to a statement from Cecot. The fair's format is designed to create immediate connections, addressing current hiring needs across various sectors. Oriol Alba, Cecot's Secretary General, highlighted the fair's value in enabling direct and immediate contact between employers and job seekers. He stated, "The objective is simple and direct, connect talent with concrete vacancies on the same day." This approach seeks to streamline the recruitment process for both businesses and candidates. Approximately 40 companies and entities, alongside 12 guilds, are confirmed to participate, significantly broadening the scope of available opportunities across multiple sectors. Alba noted that this combination allows visitors to find "real opportunities and direct connections with sectors that today have difficulties incorporating talent." The vacancies span a wide array of sectors, including industrial, services, technology, logistics, administration, commerce, quality control, technical roles, and personal care. Among the businesses confirmed to attend are Eurofragance, Pastisart, Educa Borràs, Parc Vallès, Veolia, Mikalor, SM Savall, Vítaly, TOI TOI, Egarfil, Rubí Tools, DOGA, CELSA Group, Mútua Terrassa, Leitat Technological Centre, LaFACT, Ametller Origen, Finsa Job Group, and Yomovo. ## Workshops and Career Support Beyond direct recruitment, the Connect Fair will feature a comprehensive programme of workshops and talks throughout the day. These sessions will cover essential topics for job seekers, such as using artificial intelligence in job searches, optimising LinkedIn profiles, crafting effective curricula vitae, preparing for selection interviews, overcoming automatic candidate filtering systems, identifying key competencies, and outlining important steps for an active job search. These resources are designed to equip attendees with the skills needed to succeed in a competitive job market. The initiative underscores Cecot's commitment to strengthening the local employment market by providing a dedicated platform for talent acquisition and career development in Terrassa. Attendees can expect a full day of networking and learning opportunities designed to bridge the gap between employers and qualified candidates, contributing to regional economic growth.
