Tarragona City Council has started the process to appoint a new business manager, according to municipal sources quoted by Diari de Tarragona. The move was launched on 28 May 2026 and is aimed at strengthening the council’s internal management from Plaça de la Font.
The new senior post will coordinate the companies that form part of the Economic Interest Group (AIE). These include the Municipal Transport Company (EMT), Economic Development, Media, and Housing departments.
The appointment is intended to improve coordination across these public bodies and give clearer oversight of essential municipal services. It is part of a wider effort to reinforce the council’s management structure.
