Tarragona, Catalonia: Two students from the Diputació de Tarragona Art and Design School have received awards for work in artistic jewellery and graphic design, closing the academic year with recognition for their studies.

Ana Isabel Mejías Moreno, who completed her Artistic Jewellery studies last year, won the Extraordinary Award for Professional Artistic Education in Catalonia in the Art Jewellery category. Her project, Del bosque a la piel (From the Forest to the Skin), is an artistic jewellery collection based on the plant world. The work reflects on the relationship between people and nature, using preserved leaves with glycerine, brown suede leather and brass.

In a separate award, Roger Martínez, a student in the Advertising Graphics training cycle, has been named recipient of the Olympus Scholarship 2026. The prize is granted by Hotel Olympus Palace 4* in Salou and comes from the hotel’s annual charity dinner, which this year will take place on 1 October to benefit cardiovascular disease prevention. Martínez’s poster proposal was chosen unanimously by the jury. It uses a collage that brings together elements of the territory, cardiology, healthy eating and ideas linked to heart health. The scholarship includes a €500 cash prize and a full weekend stay for two people at the hotel.
