Talarn, in Lleida, drew thousands of visitors to the 14th Pyrenees Wine Fair, strengthening the municipality’s role as a centre for mountain wines in Catalonia.
According to local organisers, the annual fair brought a large crowd and helped reinforce Talarn’s reputation in the viticultural sector. It also put the focus on wines produced in the Pyrenees region.
The fair gives local wineries a place to present their products and meet a wider audience. Visitors can taste a range of mountain wines, which are often shaped by their altitude, terroir and production methods.
After 14 editions, the event continues to show growing interest in regional Catalan wines, especially those made at higher elevations. Officials want Talarn to keep playing a leading role in promoting these wines in the years ahead.
