Drivers and residents in Sant Quirze del Vallès will face road closures, restricted access and vehicle-free areas during the town's Festa Major, which runs from 2 to 7 September 2026. The measures will affect streets and routes used for festival activities, so car journeys and access through affected areas may be disrupted at different times each day.

Local parents planning to visit the fairground should also note that its attractions will reduce their lights and music from 6pm to 8pm on 3 September, according to the Ajuntament de Sant Quirze del Vallès festival agenda.

The Ajuntament, the town council, has published an official traffic disruption notice for the festival. It advises people to plan journeys before travelling and to follow directions from mobility and security services.

Festival programme runs until 7 September

The Festa Major is scheduled across several venues from 5pm on 2 September until 11.55pm on 7 September. The council says the programme is organised with local entities, businesses and the Ajuntament.

  • Family water games are scheduled for 2 September and are particularly recommended for children aged five and over, although younger children can take part with their families.
  • Vovo Music will perform on 2 September, with the traditional ball del fanalet dance included in the event.
  • An exhibition on the origins of the Catalan-language newspaper Diari Avui will run from 3 to 7 September.

Residents can consult the official digital festival programme and the traffic disruption notice before setting out. The council's culture service can be contacted on 937 216 800 or at [email protected].
