Tarragona province will host Catalan President Salvador Illa this Sunday, 31 May 2026, as he visits Torredembarra and Constantí. The programme includes an institutional visit in Torredembarra, followed by the PSC’s Festa de la Rosa in Constantí.
Illa, who is also the First Secretary of the PSC, is due at Torredembarra Town Hall at 11.10am. According to officials, he will be accompanied by Lucía López Cerdán, the Catalan government’s delegate in Camp de Tarragona.
At the town hall, Illa is scheduled to meet Mayor Vale Pino, also of the PSC, and other councillors. He will also sign the town hall’s book of honour before leaving Plaça del Castell and taking a walk through Torredembarra.
He will then travel to Constantí for the Festa de la Rosa de Tarragona, which this year returns to Parc de les Escoles Velles. Illa is expected to speak at 12.30pm.
The event is set to bring together socialist leaders from Camp de Tarragona, including Rubén Viñuales, Mayor of Tarragona, Sandra Guaita, Mayor of Reus, and Fran Morancho, First Secretary of the PSC in Camp de Tarragona. Berni Álvarez, the Catalan Minister for Sport, and Òscar Sánchez, Mayor of Constantí, are also expected to attend, along with other municipal leaders and party members.
