Roses, in Girona, has launched its summer programme with activities that combine history, sport and wellbeing. The line-up includes guided snorkelling, aquatic walking, family tours and food-related sessions across the town and nearby coastal sites.
Among the family activities is Unga, unga!, which looks at life in the Neolithic era and how people lived in the Roses mountains more than 5,000 years ago. Another theatrical visit, Històries de la P... mili, takes participants to Punta Falconera and its old bunkers, with a guided story-led format for all ages.
The programme also includes an anchovy salting workshop, a visit to the fishing port, a showcooking session on Roses seafood cuisine and a tasting of suquet fish stew with Empordà Designation of Origin wines. Another route, La Roses Secreta, focuses on the historic centre and includes access to the only visitable air-raid shelter within the urban area.
For readers following local tourism news across Catalonia, the full programme is listed on the official Roses tourism website, visit.roses.cat. The town says dates, prices and booking details are available there.
Wellbeing is also a key part of the offer through Cicle Dedins, a series of 10 activities that includes meditation, yoga and nature-connection sessions. These take place in locations such as the Roses Lighthouse and Punta Falconera, with the aim of promoting calm, awareness and emotional health.
