Roses, in Girona province, has restarted its summer civic agent service from 1 June, with the aim of promoting public conduct and coexistence among residents and visitors.
According to the town council, the programme is designed to encourage respect for public spaces and for the rights of other people. Agents will give information on municipal rules to both local people and tourists.
The service will focus on several practical issues, including household and commercial waste, the use of loading and unloading zones, pedestrian and electric scooter circulation, and pet ownership rules.
The civic agent team works alongside the Roses Local Police. They coordinate campaign planning and operations, and the agents report daily to their coordinator, who passes the information to the Citizen Security Area.
The campaign will run every day until 15 October, with shifts from 10am to 1pm and from 5pm to 9.30pm. For more local coverage, see news.
