Barcelona-born singer Rigoberta Bandini, whose real name is Paula Ribó, announced her second pregnancy during a concert in Madrid, a city that often hosts major live music dates for Catalan artists. The news came in early June during her Summer Tour 2026 show at the Noches del Botánico festival.

Ribó shared the news after singing Canciones de amor a ti. She told the audience, “A moment has come in the show when I didn't know if I would say it or not, but I have to say that I am not alone doing this show,” while touching her stomach. The crowd responded with applause and cheers.

She said it was difficult to keep the pregnancy private during such a close concert. “It's very difficult not to tell you, especially at such a special and close concert,” Ribó said, adding, “I feel like you are a bit of my Madrid family, and because I'm suffocating.” She then continued the performance with her usual humour.

Paula Ribó became widely known after competing to represent Spain at Eurovision 2022 with Ay mamá at Benidorm Fest. The song became a major hit and raised her profile across the Spanish music scene. More on the event is available on the official Noches del Botánico website and the RTVE Benidorm Fest page.

Her work goes beyond music. Ribó has acted in television series such as Cites and Quién eres, and she has also worked as a voice actress on Spanish dubs of films including Harry Potter, Frozen, Trolls, Spirited Away, Zootropolis, Brave, The Incredibles and Lilo & Stitch. In 2024, she won a Goya Award for Best Original Song for Yo solo quiero amor from Te estoy amando locamente.

Ribó is married to Esteban Navarro, and the couple already have a son, Nico, who was born in 2020. The announcement adds a personal moment to a tour that continues to mix live music with Ribó’s wider creative work.
