Mossos d'Esquadra officers have arrested two men, aged 46 and 79, in Reus, Tarragona, in connection with a violent death that occurred at a farmhouse in the city on Saturday evening. The Catalan police's Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) is now leading the enquiry into the incident.
Police were alerted at 2pm on Saturday to a possible fight inside the farmhouse. Several Mossos d'Esquadra Public Safety units responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered a lifeless body showing signs of violence.
Two other men were present at the location. They attempted to flee when they noticed the Mossos' presence, but officers quickly detained them. The case is currently under a secrecy order, according to officials.
Investigation Underway
The investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division will aim to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death and the involvement of the two arrested men.
