The 18th Saló de la Moto (Motorcycle Show) is set to return to the firaReus Events centre in Reus, Catalonia, from 24 to 26 April, showcasing the latest innovations in the two-wheeled sector. The show will open on Friday, 24 April, from 4pm to 8pm, and on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April, from 10am to 8pm. It will occupy a 7,000 square metre exhibition space, featuring approximately 50 brands represented by major official dealerships. The extensive range of motorcycles will include new and used models, mopeds, scooters, maxiscooters, sports bikes, classic motorcycles, electric models, quads, and other two- and four-wheeled mobility vehicles. An area for selling accessories, equipment, and complements will also be available inside the exhibition centre. Josep Baiges, Councillor for Economic Promotion, Innovation and Knowledge and CEO of REDESSA, highlighted the show's significance. "The Motorcycle Show is not only a display of the latest innovations in the world of two wheels, but also a meeting point for companies, professionals and enthusiasts, contributing to the economic and commercial activity of the city and the territory," Baiges said. Prominent brands like BMW Motorrad, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Ducati, Triumph, Piaggio, Aprilia, Vespa, Kymco, Royal Enfield, Benelli, Moto Guzzi, Montesa, SYM, Peugeot, Segway-Ninebot, and Silence will be present, alongside emerging and specialised brands from the region. The event coincides with a period of growth for the sector. According to Anesdor data, the light vehicle sector in Catalonia experienced a 38.2% increase during the first quarter of the year, with a 26.6% rise across Spain, totalling 63,537 units sold. The electric motorcycle and light electric vehicle sector also recorded a 6.1% increase nationally during the same period, confirming its upward trajectory as a mobility solution in Spain. ## Safety and Training Programmes The official inauguration of the Motorcycle Show will take place on Friday, 24 April, at 6pm at the firaReus Events centre. It will be led by former speed motorcycle racer Domingo "Mingo" Gil, a local figure well-known among two-wheeled enthusiasts. The show offers a comprehensive programme of activities designed for all ages, combining leisure, training, and direct motorcycle experiences. Focusing on road safety and training, the show will host sessions from the Formació 3.0 programme, a free advanced training initiative for motorcyclists from the Catalan Traffic Service, in collaboration with ANESDOR and Driving and Control Techniques (TCC). Additionally, the Jordi driving school will present its new motorcycle road awareness course. For families, a children's road education circuit will be set up inside the exhibition centre. ## Motorcycle Routes and Gatherings The Reus Motorcycle Friends association has organised two training workshops: one on ARTBOX or control unit reprogramming, and another on group ride protocols. Throughout the three days, attendees can participate in rides, talks, workshops, and other activities organised by local motorcycle clubs. On Saturday and Sunday, the Reus Motorcycle Friends have planned two motorcycle routes through the area. Sunday, 26 April, will feature the 12th Historic Motorcycle Ride, organised by the Vintage Vehicle Enthusiasts Group (GAVE), the Reus Motorcycle Automobile Club (MAC), and the Reus Vespa Club, bringing together classic motorcycles and vintage motor enthusiasts. The show will also host the 2nd Saló de la Moto, Flix Rally, organised by the Tragamillas Motorcycle Club. On the same Sunday, the Costa Daurada Bikers Club has arranged a gathering for the Honda Goldwing Catalonia Club. Leisure activities include raffles, fraternity vermouths, an introductory country dancing session, and a talk on motorcycle travel. Throughout the show, an outdoor test ride area will be available for visitors to try out the latest motorcycle models. A rest area for motorcyclists and exclusive free motorcycle parking will also be provided. Access to the show is free. The return of the Saló de la Moto underscores its enduring appeal as a central event for Catalonia's motorcycling community and a significant contributor to the regional economy. Its diverse offerings ensure a comprehensive experience for both seasoned enthusiasts and new riders.
