Reus has launched a seven-stop photography trail dedicated to Antoni Gaudí, with exhibitions spread across the city’s six civic centres and the lobby of the Old Hospital. Visitors who complete the route can collect a commemorative postcard, making the initiative a practical cultural activity for residents and visitors travelling between neighbourhood facilities.
The displays bring together retrospective photographs of the architect’s work by Jordi Aguadé, Jordi Oliva, Josep Maria Tost Axet and Josep Sendra Clarasó. Their images focus on Gaudí’s forms, details, spaces and architectural heritage.
Seven venues linked by a cultural passport
A cultural passport is available from each participating exhibition venue. Visitors can have it stamped at every stop on the route.
- Collect a passport at any of the seven participating spaces.
- Visit all seven exhibitions and obtain a stamp at each venue.
- Take the completed passport to the Regidoria de Relacions Ciutadanes, the municipal Department of Citizen Relations, at the Old Hospital.
- Receive a commemorative postcard for completing the route.
Part of Reus’s civic-centre exhibition network
The project uses the city’s network of civic centres, public neighbourhood facilities that host community and cultural activities, alongside the Old Hospital. Reus City Council’s Exposa programme is an established circuit of travelling exhibitions intended to bring visual arts closer to residents.
Fotocamp Reus, the photography group behind the initiative, was formed in 2015 by photography enthusiasts who met to share interests and organise photographic outings. The group has worked continuously with Reus civic centres since 2016.
Residents and visitors can begin the route by collecting a passport at a participating exhibition space, then collect the postcard from the Old Hospital after receiving all seven stamps.
