Reus, Tarragona, saw a car wash fire on Monday morning, with the blaze breaking out at a service area on the T-310 road near a petrol station.
Firefighters said the incident happened at kilometre point 2 of the road, where the site includes both a refuelling area and a car wash. The petrol station itself was not damaged.
Emergency services confirmed that no one was injured, even though people were in the area when the fire started. The 112 emergency line received the alert at 6:05am.
Two fire crews from the Bombers de la Generalitat de Catalunya attended the scene and put out the fire in less than an hour. Their response stopped the flames from spreading to the nearby pumps.
Authorities are expected to look into the cause of the fire. For more local updates, see our news coverage.
