R3 Rodalies commuter trains were suspended between La Garriga and Vic at midday on Saturday, 1 August, after a fault in the signalling systems at Figaró, in Barcelona province.

Passengers travelling through the affected section must use the replacement road service arranged by Renfe, Spain's state rail operator, and Adif, the rail infrastructure manager. The disruption affects journeys between the two stations on the R3 line.

Replacement road transport in operation

Renfe and Adif said in separate social-media updates that the alternative road service had been established to maintain passenger mobility.

  • Affected line: R3 Rodalies
  • Suspended section: La Garriga to Vic
  • Reported cause: signalling-system fault at Figaró
  • Alternative: road transport for passengers
Adif technicians are working at the site to resolve the incident as quickly as possible.

The reported fault was in Figaró, within the interrupted La Garriga-Vic section. Renfe and Adif announced the replacement transport while repair work was under way.
