Train services on the R2 Sud Rodalies line and regional routes have resumed between Sitges and Garraf, in Catalonia, from Monday. The restart ends three months of engineering works on this stretch of the network.

The return of regular service restores a key coastal rail link for residents and commuters in the Garraf area. It also supports travel to and from Sitges, as well as the smaller community of Garraf.

According to officials, circulation on the affected section has now fully recovered, with trains operating on their normal schedules again. Passengers using this part of the line had faced disruption since the works began three months ago.

The resumption should ease daily travel for people who depend on public transport for work, school and local journeys along the coast. For broader Catalonia rail updates, see our news coverage.
