El Vendrell, Catalonia, is preparing for the return of its Primavera Vendrellenca festival, a cycle of festive events set to begin on Saturday, 25 April 2026, aiming to revitalise local leisure, tourism, and commercial activity.

The festival, which originated in 2021, continues its tradition of offering spaces for fun, music, and celebration for all audiences. Since last year, a dedicated programme for children ensures that youngsters can enjoy unique moments with family and friends across various locations in the town.

This year, a new solidarity initiative will be introduced: a special 'solidary cup' will be available at bar services during the activities. Proceeds from these cups will be donated to research into treatments for childhood cancer, linking the festival to the Joan Petit Hockey Tournament, scheduled for 30 May at the CE Vendrell's Pavelló Quim Tomàs.

Mariona Figueras, the Councillor for Festivities, highlighted the continued involvement of local groups. "Once again, we count on the participation of dance schools, popular culture groups, and the Administradors de Santa Anna, as in previous editions," Figueras told reporters. She invited both adults and children "to responsibly enjoy a solidary Primavera Vendrellenca that will fill squares and streets with music and colours."
