Barcelona will bring Pride celebrations into Eixample neighbourhoods, with the Ajuntament de Barcelona saying the move is meant to make the annual events more accessible and inclusive for residents across the city.

The change marks an expansion of Pride activity beyond the areas where many major events have usually been concentrated. City officials said the aim is to spread the celebrations more widely through the urban fabric and encourage broader community participation.

This approach is intended to embed Pride more deeply in local neighbourhood life, so more people can take part in the celebrations and feel included in them. The city council said the decentralised format should help widen engagement across Barcelona.

Specific dates and locations in Eixample have not yet been announced. The Barcelona City Council is expected to share further details soon.
