Event Set for 21 October at Peralada Castle

The third edition of the Fòrum Empresarial Peralada will take place on Wednesday 21 October at the Mirador del Castell de Peralada, bringing together prominent business leaders from the Alt Empordà region to discuss current economic conditions. The event is organised by EMPORDÀ, EL PERIÓDICO, Activos and Prensa Ibérica, with sponsorship from the Generalitat de Catalunya and BigSafebox Data, and collaboration from Castell Perelada.

Keynote Speakers and Agenda

The day will begin at 10:30am with a photocall for attendees, followed by an opening address at 11:00am from Aitor Moll, chief executive of Prensa Ibérica. Three main dialogues will form the core of the forum:

  • Jordi Riera, CEO of motorcycle manufacturer Rieju, will discuss 'new technology for growth and brand building' with Martí Saballs, economic news director at Prensa Ibérica;
  • August Conesa, executive president of Grup Conesa, alongside his daughters Cinta and Nina who are now part of the company leadership, will speak with Marc Verdaguer, editor of EMPORDÀ, about the legacy and evolution of the family-owned industrial group now in its fourth generation;
  • Àngels Chacón, former Catalan Minister for Business and Knowledge and current director of the Fundació per la Indústria, will join Saballs in the final dialogue to explore the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence.

The closing session will be led by representatives of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

This forum provides a vital space for regional business voices to connect, reflect and shape the future of the Empordà economy.
