Palamós will reopen its Festa Major fairground on 19 June, with rides and stalls returning near the bus station after a year without them.
For families, residents and visitors in Baix Empordà, the key change is the new location. The Ajuntament de Palamós says the former site is no longer in use because of promenade works, so anyone heading to the fairground should go to the bus station area.
Council confirmation
According to the Ajuntament de Palamós, the fairground is expected to include between 80 and 90 stallholders and ride operators. That gives a clear sense of scale, although the final layout can still change before opening day.
The council also links the move to the redevelopment of the promenade, which means regular visitors should not rely on the old fairground site this year. If you are using public transport, the bus station is the most practical reference point for arrival and meeting up.
Before you go
Check the Ajuntament de Palamós website before leaving home for any last-minute access notes, parking updates or Festa Major notices. Evening crowds may be heavier once the fairground opens, so planning your route in advance is sensible.
