Girona, Catalonia, Bàsquet Girona has confirmed that American point guard Otis Livingston will not return for the 2026-27 season. The club announced the decision on 14 June 2026, shortly after Livingston first shared the news on Instagram.
Livingston, nicknamed “the wizard”, was the most-used player by coach Moncho Fernández during his season at Fontajau. He averaged 13 points, 5.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
In his farewell message, Livingston thanked the club’s staff, his teammates and the city of Girona. He gave a special mention to Sergi Martínez, the only person he tagged in the post, and also thanked the people who “do the work nobody sees”, including coaches, physios and security staff.
He also wrote about his time in Girona away from the court, saying he had enjoyed walks through the city and the support from fans at home games. Bàsquet Girona replied by thanking him for his “commitment, dedication, and professionalism”, and said that “Fontajau is and always will be your home.”
Romanian media outlets have suggested Livingston could join U-BT Cluj-Napoca, a team in Romania’s Divizia A, although that move has not been officially confirmed.
