In Castelló d'Empúries, Nàutic Almata campsite has added new facilities for the 2026 season, including a new gastronomic space and a dog play area. The site sits between the Bay of Roses and the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park, with a setting that combines beach access and river channels.
The campsite is located where the Fluvià river meets the sea. According to the site, it offers direct access to a sandy beach and navigable river channels, and is used as a base for water sports, wildlife observation, and walking or cycling routes along the Costa Brava.
Activities at Nàutic Almata include paddle surfing and kayaking on the river, plus football, tennis, padel, water polo, and beach volleyball tournaments. The campsite also offers surfskate classes and aqua gym sessions, along with a swimming pool area, two sports zones, a gym, and a climbing wall for children.
Accommodation options include glamping tents and bungalows, some with private bathrooms. Guests can also choose from different pitch categories by size, services, and location, including beachfront, riverside, or shaded areas. The campsite has seven sanitary blocks with dishwashing and laundry services.
Food and services include Mediterranean and international cuisine, a supermarket, a shop, a co-working space, and a private medical consultation. The new El Mercat space brings together local produce, street food, and Mediterranean cooking, while the dog play area has also opened for the season.
