A motorcyclist died in a road accident on the C-43 road in Gandesa, Terra Alta, on 26 April 2026. The incident occurred at kilometre point 9.2, according to the Catalan Traffic Service.
The Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia's police force, received the alert at 11.45am. The driver of the motorcycle died as a result of the crash. The causes of the accident are currently under investigation.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Three Mossos d'Esquadra patrols, one unit from the Generalitat Fire Brigade, and several units from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were activated following the incident. Their quick response aimed to manage the scene and provide assistance.
This fatality brings the provisional number of people who have died on Catalan roads this year to 29. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine its cause.
