A 49-year-old Martorell resident died on Tuesday evening after a collision on the N-IIa road in Martorell, in Catalonia. The crash happened at kilometre point 586.8 and was reported at 20:52.
According to the Catalan Traffic Service, the man, identified as S.S.C., died after a lateral collision between his motorcycle and a car. The incident adds to the provisional road death toll in Catalonia this year, which now stands at 54, including 23 motorcyclists.
Emergency services were sent to the scene, including six patrols from the Mossos d'Esquadra, two units from the Generalitat Fire Brigade, and four units from the Medical Emergency System, SEM.
