Final Rally of the Season This Weekend
Martorell-born rally driver Sergi Pérez will contest the 61st RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October, the final round of the 2026 Súper Campeonato de España de Rallies (S-CER). Pérez, co-driven by Axel Coronado, will pilot a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 in the event based in Salou, a location he describes as particularly special due to local support.
Chasing Junior Championship Glory
Pérez enters the rally leading the Junior S-CER classification with 150 points, ahead of Alex Español Jove on 144 points, according to the latest official standings from the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation (RFEDA). The title in the main S-CER category has already been mathematically secured by José Antonio ‘Cohete’ Suárez, but Pérez still has a chance to move up to fourth overall in the general standings.
It’s a very special week for us. The most special rally of the calendar, where I have great hopes of performing well and closing a good season.
Sergi Pérez, WERACE Motorsport pilot
Strong Season Builds Confidence
Pérez has achieved two podium finishes this season, at the Rally de Utiel and the Princesa de Asturias Rally, marking the best results of his career so far. He has prepared thoroughly for this final event, conducting test sessions and reviewing footage of the Costa Daurada stages to maximise competitiveness.
The goal is to finish and secure the Spanish Junior Super Championship. But certainly, I’ll be satisfied if we fight for victory. We’ve prepared well, have a very good car, and the sensations are positive.
Sergi Pérez, WERACE Motorsport pilot Pérez said he intends to push from the first qualification stage on Friday, aiming not only for the junior title but also a strong result in the overall standings in front of home supporters.
