Police in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat arrested a 30-year-old man after a shooting incident on Sunday at 5am. A patrol from the Guàrdia Urbana became aware of shots fired on Batllori Street and began pursuing a car fleeing the scene, according to El Caso and confirmed by Europa Press.

When the fleeing vehicle reached the train tracks, its two occupants exited and ran. Police apprehended one man, while the other's whereabouts are currently unknown. No injuries have been reported so far, but authorities are gathering evidence to open an investigation into the events, Europa Press sources said.

Recent Barcelona Shooting

This incident follows a fatal shooting in Barcelona's Sants neighbourhood just a day earlier. On Saturday, a young man died after being shot multiple times in broad daylight. Initial reports indicate at least one shot hit him in the head, and he died at the scene despite attempts by a Mossos d'Esquadra officer to stabilise him before medical services arrived. Sources suggest the victim was a middle-aged man with a history of drug trafficking offences.
