Eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the C-12 road in Maials, in Lleida province, on Thursday afternoon. The crash happened at kilometre 102, heading towards Lleida, and involved two lorries and a van, according to emergency services.
Emergency services received the alert at 18:09. The Catalan Traffic Service said all eight people in the van suffered less serious injuries. The drivers of the lorries were not injured.
The Medical Emergency System, known as SEM, took six of the injured to Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida. The other two were taken to Mora d'Ebre Hospital. The Generalitat Fire Brigade sent one unit, and SEM deployed three ambulances.
