A lorry driver sustained injuries in Vallbona d'Anoia on Friday morning after concrete slabs from a company facade collapsed onto his vehicle. The incident occurred at Hormigones i Pre-fabricats de la Conca, trapping the driver inside his cab.

The accident took place around 10am, according to initial reports. Emergency teams quickly responded to the scene to free the worker from the damaged lorry.

Rescue Operation Underway

Catalan Firefighters deployed two units to assist in the rescue efforts. Personnel from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and the Mossos d'Esquadra also attended the site. The driver was subsequently taken to the Generalitat Hospital in Manresa, where his condition is currently reserved, officials confirmed.

Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the facade collapse. An investigation is expected to follow to determine the circumstances leading to the incident at the concrete manufacturing plant.
