Lloret de Mar’s municipal market, in Girona, has added Casamoner, a Girona-based artisan bakery, officials said on 10 June 2026. The move is part of the market’s plan to strengthen its commercial offer with local produce and higher-value food businesses.

Cristina Aymerich, the councillor for economic promotion, welcomed the addition and pointed to Casamoner’s local roots and focus on quality. She said that with operators of this standard, the Lloret de Mar Market is becoming one of the leading markets in the Girona area.

The Casamoner opening follows the recent announcement that Ametller Origen will also join the market. More operator announcements are expected in the coming weeks, as the project moves towards a modern and varied offer that reflects current consumer trends.

Casamoner will sell breads, cakes, sweets and savoury items at the market, and the space will also include a café-bar. The aim is to support trade while giving visitors a place to meet and spend time in the market.

The bakery has also received recognition for its work. Its master baker won the Best Bread of Girona award in 2025, as part of the Pa d'Or awards. Casamoner says it combines traditional artisan methods with modern techniques, using sourdough and organic flours in a daily range of products.

The market’s wider goal is to become a reference point for quality local produce, while also serving as a social and economic hub for Lloret de Mar and the surrounding area. For more local coverage, see our news page.
